Infection Prevention Sustainability Webinar Series for LTC Clinical and Non-Clinical Settings

Wed, 6/23/2021 at 11:30 am - Wed, 6/23/2021 at 12:30 pm (PDT)

Session 1: Top Clinical Citations in Long-Term Care Clinical Settings

Please join Comagine Health for a two-part Infection Prevention Sustainability Webinar Series as we review top reasons for citations in clinical and non-clinical areas of the skilled nursing facility during surveys. The goal of this series is to train staff to see through the “eyes of a surveyor” so they take the knowledge gained to correct observed deficiencies in their own building and train staff on circumstances that could be cited for noncompliance with infection prevention and control practices in clinical and non-clinical areas.

About the speaker: Jean Lyon, PhD, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, is a clinical care practitioner and senior infection prevention advisor at Comagine Health. Dr. Lyon is a family nurse practitioner and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She has a master’s degree in community health nursing and a doctorate in nursing with a focus on administration. She has experience in multiple health care settings, and prior to her tenure with Comagine Health, worked as a surveyor for the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, surveying a variety of outpatient and inpatient ambulatory clinical settings and critical access hospitals. Dr. Lyon is the lead clinical and curriculum specialist on multiple state infection prevention projects, including the National Nursing Home ECHO project.
