Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Education Series, Session 2: Diagnosis

Thu, 7/22/2021 at 12:00 pm - Thu, 7/22/2021 at 1:00 pm (PDT)

Kidney diseases are the ninth leading cause of death in the United States, yet as many as 9 in 10 adults with chronic kidney disease, or CKD, don't know they have it. Despite afflicting as many as 37 million people every year, CKD awareness is unacceptably low. Recent data show that when detected in its earliest stages, patients with unrecognized CKD can experience more positive outcomes and a better quality of life.

Comagine Health is launching a three-part education series to bring awareness to CKD, including the importance of accurate and effective identification, diagnosis and management. The series is open to all primary care providers and staff members who want to learn more about this chronic illness and how early intervention can yield promising results.

The second session is focused on the diagnosis and staging of chronic kidney disease (CKD). Comagine Health is happy to welcome Dr. Bill Lombard, a nephrologist and internist with more than 20 years’ experience, as our featured speaker.
