Tue, 4/25/2023 at 11:00 am - Tue, 4/25/2023 at 12:00 pm (PDT)

Comagine Health will be hosting a webinar titled Navigating Infection Control Training Requirements in Long Term Care at 11 a.m. PT/noon MT Tuesday, April 25. This webinar is intended for long-term and post-acute care (LTPAC) leadership such as administrators, directors of nursing, infection preventionists, environmental services and others involved with coordinating staff training programs in LTPAC settings.

This session will refer to the regulatory requirements in CMS State Operations Manual (SOM) Appendix PP and the survey investigative pathways that can be accessed from the Nursing Homes | CMS website to provide an overview of the LTPAC staff training requirements for infection prevention and control, how your training program will be evaluated and how the tracking tools developed by Comagine Health can help your facility meet regulatory compliance.

Objectives: • Describe the infection control training requirements. • Review three components of an Infection control training program. • Identify the two survey pathways pertinent to IC training requirements. • Implement the use of a training tracker to analyze staff completion rates and target areas for quality improvement. • Extend the use of the training tracker tool to cover other training requirements (e.g., behavioral health, etc.).

Administrator and nursing CEUs are pending on approval.
