Join Savannah Smith, health equity program manager at Comagine Health, for a three-part learning series covering the National CLAS Standards. This valuable training will provide an overview of the CLAS standards, a set of action steps that assist in the elimination of health care disparities, improve quality of care and advance health equity.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this series, participants will be able to:
- Define or describe the National CLAS Standards.
- Demonstrate how to build the CLAS framework into practice.
- Support patients using the National CLAS standards.
- Identify at least one resource to support implementing the CLAS standards into practice.
Topics Include:
- CLAS fundamentals, including strategies for delivering patient-centered care.
- Communication and language assistance, including how to work effectively with an interpreter.
- Organizational CLAS-related activities and work toward developing a CLAS implementation action plan.
Follow-up Technical Assistance
Upon completing the three-part series, participants will be invited to participate in continued technical assistance to implement CLAS standards into practice and work to develop a CLAS implementation action plan.
