The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) team at Jefferson Community Health and Life – Gardenside LTC, in Fairbury, Nebraska, implemented Natural Awakening to improve the overall sleep hygiene, health and safety of their residents, while promoting a more “home-like” environment. Comagine Health has compiled a quick guide to help LTPACs access the CMS Quality, Safety & Education Portal (QSEP) scenario-based training, which has been designed specifically with COVID-19 in mind. With this training, frontline staff and management have an opportunity to fine-tune their skills and enhance their ability to address challenges related to COVID-19. This online course is for caregivers, CNAs and others who support older adults. You'll learn about:

  • The definition of person-centered care and hear it described by many different experts who have followed its principles for years
  • TRACK, a self-reflection tool, and how it can be used when providing care for older adults

The course was developed by Making Oregon Vital for Elders (MOVE) on behalf of Oregon Department of Human Services – Aging and People with Disabilities.  Funding for this project was provided by a grant from the Oregon Quality Care Fund.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Preservation Planning Toolkit

This toolkit is designed to aid any PPE-using organization in the planning and implementation of preservation strategies. It provides estimates of the value of implementing actions to reduce use of, reuse or repurpose PPE in conventional, contingency or crisis capacity conditions. The toolkit helps users understand types of preservation strategies their organizations may implement and provides estimates of positive impacts of using those strategies in increasing the duration of a specified PPE supply.
